150th year committee have formulated a series of events leading up to the finale in June 2017, as June, being the month the club was started way back in 1867. The events kick start with the 150th year flag being hoisted on 01.01.2017 by the oldest rowing member of the club. A special 150th year flag is being made to commemorate this event.

The event is scheduled for 01.01.2017 at 5.00 pm on the Club Lawns followed by High Tea and club requesta all members to be present.

The ARAE Regatta follows this event with the finals of the Regatta on 14.01.2017.

Republic day has the inter school's regatta which promises to be an interesting affair. For the month of February, the events planned are a Treasure Hunt which has been quite a popular event years ago and is being revived again.

We are looking into the possibility of having a rowing event at Ennore Creek as Ennore was the place your Club was first started. Details of the event once finalised will be shared with you.

The month of March will feature a Historical talk on our club and the famous Pagal Regatta which again is being revived. This regatta will kindle old members of fun and frolic in some, and fun for those who have not seen one.

For the month of April we have the Mega tambola, the Merchants and Bankers Regatta, a Children's Day and a Vintage car show.

The Merchants and Bankers Regatta is being revived but with a difference. The Club Management Committee is keen to have other clubs in the city participating in the Merchants and Bankers Regatta along with the other companies and a separate trophy is being instituted for the inter club races.

As far as our club is concerned the teams will be formed only from the Lawn Members of our Club so please note and start practicing!

The month of May has the Staff Day, a talk on the history of Tamil Cinema and the Maiden Regatta / Spring Regatta as it was originally known.

The Staff Day is to honour our staff and will be a daylong affair which involves not only our staff but their entire families.

The finale month of June will have a Music Performance with international musicians in one of the cities well known auditoriums and an International regatta followed by a grand Ball.

This is the tentative program we have planned and the details of every program planned will be communicated nearer the event time.

Our Committee in conjunction with the Management Committee will then work out the methodology to be followed for the funding. This will be shared with you.

Looking forward to your co-operation and participation in making the celebrations a success and enjoyable.
